Tuesday's four Premier League fixtures delivered plenty of entertainment and goals.

Here's what went down.

Chelsea 4-0 Southampton

Scorers: Nkunku 24', Neto 37', Colwill 44', Cucurella 78'

Chelsea bounced back with a 4-0 dismantling of relegation-troubled Southampton.

Christopher Nkunku put Enzo Maresca's side ahead on 24 minutes with a bounding header at the far post after Tosin Adarabioyo had flicked on a corner.

Poacher turned provider later in the first half as the France international picked out Pedro Neto to fire a powerful effort past Aaron Ramsdale for the Blues' second goal.

The sequence repeated itself as Levi Colwill rounded off the hosts' comprehensive first half by turning home from Neto's free kick with a powerful header.

Marc Cucurella added a fourth in the second half's closing stages with a swept finish after being picked out in the middle of the box by substitute Tyrique George.

Crystal Palace 4-1 Aston Villa

Scorers: Sarr 29', 71', Mateta 59', Nketiah 90+1'; Rogers 51'

Crystal Palace produced an exhibition display to rack up a 4-1 win over Aston Villa.

Jacob Ramsey appeared to have handed Unai Emery's side an opener midway through the first half with a tidy finish but was immediately flagged offside.

The Eagles broke the deadlock shortly before the half-hour mark as Ismaïla Sarr was able to meet Chris Richards' header to the far post on his birthday outing.

A second Villa goal was denied by offside after a lengthy VAR review when Morgan Rogers met Ollie Watkins' cutback with a dinked finish past Dean Henderson.

The visitors were dealt a blow as goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez was replaced at the start of the second half at Selhurst Park by understudy Robin Olsen.

They finally pulled level just five minutes after the interval through Rogers again, this time producing a shot on the turn after holding off several defenders.

But Palace retook their lead through Jean-Philippe Mateta drilled home after latching onto the ball from Eberechi Eze being dispossessed in the area.

Sarr added a third in fine fashion by meeting a cross from Daniel Muñoz's right-sided delivery with a smart volley into the far corner of Robin Olsen's net.

Eddie Nketiah added a fourth in added time by meeting Tyrick Mitchell's pass after he had ghosted past Leon Bailey to round off a comprehensive rout for the hosts.

Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

Scorers: Pedro 12', Welbeck 75'; Kluivert 61'

Brighton took the spoils from a south coast derby by edging out Bournemouth 2-1.

João Pedro put the hosts ahead on 12 minutes after he was taken down by Kepa Arrizabalaga before sweeping home from the penalty spot.

The Cherries produced a strike of pure quality to level on the hour mark as Justin Kluivert fired a powerful effort from a the left-hand edge of the penalty area.

However it was Fabian Hürzeler's sider who seized the upper hand in the closing stages with Danny Welbeck side-footing home from Georginio Rutter's slide pass.

Wolves 1-2 Fulham

Scorers: Gomes 19; Sessegnon 1', Muniz 47'

Fulham returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Wolves.

Ryan Sessegnon broke the deadlock after barely a minute after latching onto Andreas Pereira's through pass before cutting a low finish past José Sá.

But their lead proved to be short-lived as João Gomes pulled the hosts level by drilling a loose ball from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's cross into the roof of the net.

Marco Silva's side retook their lead just two minutes into the second half with Rodrigo Muniz chipping an advancing Sá from Adama Traore's through ball.

Another five top-flight games are lined up on Wednesday including an EFL Cup final dress rehearsal between Liverpool and Newcastle while Tottenham host Manchester City.
