Samu Aghehowa emerged from Granada before switching to Atletico Madrid. Last summer, he was due to move to Chelsea but as things didn’t go as planned, he joined FC Porto. The move to the Portuguese club has worked out for him faily.

Aghehowa is delivering in the ongoing campaign exactly what was expected from him. He has already netted 18 goals and provided two assists in 25 games. He is averaging 2.4 shots, 0.8 key passes, and 0.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Spanish striker is a strong man, who imposes his physical strength upon the opponents. He presses highly on the field and shows a high work-rate. With clinical finishing, acceleration, and aerial dominance, he attracts the eyeballs upon him.
It’s evident that Enzo Maresca isn’t satisfied with Nicolas Jackson‘s performances. Hence, Chelsea are in the market actively looking to sign a striker and the latest name to emerge on the list is Samuel Omorodion.
The Blues were behind Omorodion last summer too and they were close to getting his signature. However, things didn’t go their way in the dying moments and the player ended up joining FC Porto. But the English outfit are still interested in signing the player.
Omorodion has all the traits to be a successful man in the Premier League. However, signing him in the winter window is going to be extremely tough. Reportedly, FC Porto will not accept anything less than his €100m (£84m) release clause. Chelsea would surely like to think multiple things before splashing such a large amount.
