Chelsea have informed Manchester United on the conditions of a deal for Nicolas Jackson, but aren’t desperate to sell the striker according to Fabrizio Romano.
Jackson has seen his future come into doubt following the arrival of both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer.
Pedro in particular has made an instant impact, and scored three goals in three games at the Club World Cup, including one in the final.
Jackson went to the Club World Cup as Chelsea’s number one striker, but arguably ended the tournament as third choice.
The 24-year-old had a disappointing campaign in which he failed to score, and served a two game ban for a red card against Flamengo in the group stage.
This has led to increased speculation over his future, and the Senegal international has a number of clubs interested in his services.

AC Milan are admirers of Jackson, but it’s thought the striker is too expensive for the Italian giants, whilst there’s also Premier League interest.
Aston Villa are interested, whilst United are also monitoring Jackson, and Romano has now provided an update on the Red Devils interest.
“Chelsea have informed Manchester United on conditions of deal for Nicolas Jackson,” he told his YouTube channel.
“Manchester United still discussing their striker target internally and sales will be important.
“Chelsea are not desperate to sell the striker.”
Jackson had a mixed campaign last season and scored ten Premier League goals, and is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
Whilst Jackson looks like he could stay, the Blues haven’t ruled out signing another attacker with Xavi Simons and Morgan Rogers potential options.
Rogers has been described as a dream target, but a deal for the Aston Villa star could prove difficult to pull off for the Blues.

Villa are thought to want at least £80m for Rogers, and it remains to be seen if Chelsea make a serious approach for the 22-year-old.
RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons could be an alternative and the Blues are reportedly aware of his situation, with the Dutch international said to prefer a move to the Premier League.
