Charlton Athletic reveal further departures | OneFootball

Charlton Athletic have revealed the news that a further four players have left the club at the end of their contracts.

The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

It has bee confirmed that Beth Roe, Mary Bashford, Ellie Brazil and Jess Gray have all moved on this summer.

Full-back Roe and attacker Brazil have both played major roles for Charlton Athletic in their time at The Valley. Roe has turned out for the club on over 100 occasions while Brazil regularly chipped in with goals last season, helping The Addicks to challenge for promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Goalkeeper Gray has developed significantly in her three years in South East London and has competed strongly for the first-choice jersey while young attacker Bashford has shown some promising signs since breaking into the senior team.

In total, nine first team players have now left Charlton Athletic this summer. In addition to Roe, Bashford, Brazil and Gray, Francesca Stables, Katie Godden, Kayleigh Barton, Sophie O’Rourke and Mel Filis have also departed the club.

With the Charlton Athletic squad significantly reduced, the club are expected to be very active in the transfer market in the coming weeks.
