Pots for the 2026 Champions League Draw

Pot 1: PSG, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern, Liverpool, Inter, Chelsea, Dortmund, Barcelona.
Pot 2: Arsenal, Leverkusen, Atlético de Madrid, Atalanta, Villarreal, Juventus, Eintracht, Brugge, Benfica.
Pot 3: Tottenham, PSV, Ajax, Napoli, Sporting, Olympiacos, Slavia Prague, Bodø/Glimt, Marseille.
Pot 4: Monaco, Ferencvaros, Galatasaray, Union SG, Athletic, Newcastle, Pafos, Kairat, Qarabag, Copenhagen.

Format of the 2026 Champions League Draw

The mechanics of the draw are as follows: the 36 participating teams will be divided into four pots according to their UEFA coefficient, with PSG designated as the top seed in pot 1 as they are the most recent champions of the tournament. The draw will begin with this pot (number one), from which a ball will be physically drawn before the automated software—the same used last year—determines the eight opponents for each team.

The selection criteria are clear: each club will face two opponents from each of the four pots, with one match at home and one away. In addition, teams from the same federation cannot face each other nor can there be more than two opponents from the same federation.
