MIAMI — The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup Semifinals saw Vancouver Whitecaps FC advance to its first Final in club history with contributions from its Game-Changer Sebastian Berhalter.
The 23-year-old midfielder was key in helping the reigning Canadian Championship winners take a 5-1 win on aggregate against reigning MLS Supporters’ Shield winners Inter Miami CF.
Berhalter played every minute of the series, contributing two goals and two assists, five crosses, two tackles won, four duels won, two clearances, and three interceptions.
He delivered the closing goals in both encounters, extending the lead to a 2-nil victory in the first leg in Canada. Berhalter played a part in all three goals in the 3-1 second leg victory, assisting the first two and scoring the third.
Whitecaps FC will meet Liga MX side Cruz Azul in the Final on June 1 at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City. The ‘Caps will seek to become the first Canadian side to win the Concacaf Champions Cup.
