Celtic face St Mirren this afternoon as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to bounce back from Thursday’s Glasgow Derby defeat. Brendan Rodgers’ side are 11 points clear at the summit of the Premiership but will be eager to put the result at Ibrox behind them with three points against the visitors from Paisley.

Team News

Brendan will likely make a number of changes from the side that started during the week as he tries to get a reaction from his team.

Kasper Schmeichel will start in goals. The Dane will be eager to make amends after a rare defeat at the club.

Liam Scales struggled at Ibrox and you’d expect Auston Trusty to be restored to the defence beside Cameron Carter-Vickers. The manager will need to make a call on whether to bring Alex Valle into the team or whether to continue with Greg Taylor at left back. Alistair Johnston will likely continue at right back.

In midfield, expect skipper Callum McGregor to continue with Paulo Bernardo and Arne Engels. Luke McCowan and Reo Hatate will likely be required form the bench but with the games coming thick and fast you’d expect the manager to continue rotating the midfield.

In attack, Kyogo will likely start with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn on the flanks.

Predicted XI: Schmeichel; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Valle; McGregor, Engels, Bernardo; Kühn, Kyogo, Maeda.
