In the late evening of 4 March 1994, two of the men responsible for making sure we were free from the clutches of the charlatans guilty of destroying our club, stood outside the doors of Celtic park and declared “the game is over, the rebels have won” and we rejoiced in that news as much as we had in celebration of the many victories our beloved club had ever achieved on the field.
Those men were Brian Dempsey and Fergus McCann. Aided by the help of several others whether that be supporters groups or investors, they all rallied around and their hard work and dedication paid off as we won back control of our football club from the hands of the shysters who only had their best interests at heart.
It was a pivotal moment in our history make no mistake. Fergus paid our bills, and transformed our fortunes on and off the park. The magnificent stadium we play in today, and the success we enjoy is all down to Fergus himself.

That however wouldn’t have been possible without the help of his fellow ‘rebels’ and they all deserve great respect and recognition for their hard work and dedication in saving our football club from an uncertain future.
