‘Celtic move Berlin Wall into the middle of the concourse’ | OneFootball

Celtic supporters attending the Premier Sports League Cup match against Falkirk at Celtic Park last night. When myself and young Lubo98 entered the stadium at the corner of the North Stand and the Jock Stein Stand as usual we purchased our Paradise windfall tickets then headed to the pie stall at the lower Jock Stein.

“It’s a fan migration check”

However before getting there we were stopped by a row of stewards blocking our passage and asking to see our tickets. Now we’d already used our season tickets to get into the stadium so what we asked was this all about. “It’s a fan migration check” I was told ask I handed over my season ticket while Lubo98 had taken a detour to use the facilities.

I was intrigued enough to stop and take a few photos before we headed up to our seats to enjoy what was a really good game, Friday night football should really become ‘a thing’ in the Scottish game.

We also noticed that there seemed to be two line of stewards at each side of the North Curve, clearly visible from the opposite side of the stadium due to the yellow high vis jackets as seen above,

Presumably this had something to do with the Green Brigade Palestine flag protest last year which recently resulted in the Celtic ultras group picking a suspended three match ban. Celtic not giving any notice of this or considering any implications for supporters who went to the game completely unaware of the the changes that were being enforced is a pretty show from the club.

On social media @1888badr posted this message…

Meanwhile Hugh Lynch posted a few videos of the checks stating: “They were stopping every supporter last night. Bonkers.”
