Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Swedish Internationalist Benjamin Nygren. The Scottish Champions are keen to bolster their attacking options and the creative midfielder would add flair to the attacking third.

According to a report by Sun Sport, Celtic are interested in the attacking midfielder and could land him for £2m. The bargain fee is expected to be enough to sign the player as he is in the final six months of his current deal.

The 23-year-old has 16 goals and 5 assists this season, playing predominantly at right wing despite being left footed, at left wing and as a No.10. This creative spark is certainly something that the manager will be looking for as he looks to strengthen his squad.

The report states that Anderlecht and Copenhagen are keen on the player too but Celtic have scouted the player extensively and are believed to be firming up their interest.

Celtic are expected to be active in the market as Brendan Rodgers looks to add three or four quality first team options. Kieran Tierney has been announced after making an incredible return to the club six years after leaving to join Arsenal in a £25m move. Goalkeeper Ross Doohan and Welsh striker Callum Osmond are expected to join to compete amongst the squad but they do not appear to be first team ‘out and out’ options.
