Fiona McIntyre from the SWPL made the draw and Celtic were the first name out of the hat, drawing major rivals Glasgow City. Partick Thistle are at home to Hibs, Motherwell have a home tie against current holders theRangers while Borroughmuir Thistle are at home to Aberdeen.
That’s a tough draw for Celtic, playing against one of the top three sides in Scotland. The ties will be played on or before 10 November and the game against Glasgow City will fit into an incredibly tough schedule for Celtic FC Women, starting with a Glasgow Derby against theRangers on Thursday night in the league. It’s live on Sky Sports and the they the pre-match build-up starts at 5.30pm.
In other news Fran Alonso has parted company with Houston Dash by mutual consent. The former Celtic FC Women manager left Celtic for the United States in December but has not had a successful time there.
