Celta Vigo star suffers injury blow ahead of Real Sociedad clash | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have on Wednesday announced a personnel blow in the club’s first-team squad.

This comes amid confirmation that Mihailo Ristić is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Left-back Ristić was for his part forced into a premature departure from Celta’s weekend La Liga meeting with Sevilla.

En route to a 1-0 defeat for his side in Andalusia, the Serb pulled up with an injury problem just ten minutes after being introduced to proceedings.

Ristić, in turn, was today put through a round of medical tests.

And, as alluded to above, as much confirmed what has been described by Celta Vigo as ‘a grade I fibrillar tear in the semimembranosus of his right thigh’.

Ristić, as a result, has been ruled out of the Celestes’ final outing before the Christmas break, against Real Sociedad on Saturday evening.

It remains to be seen if the Serb misses any time following the turn of the year.
