Real Madrid clashed heads with Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on their travels in La Liga. Los Blancos made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 29th minute thanks to Arda Guler’s effort. Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
The Madrid giants defended their slender lead well in the second 45 minutes and secured a narrow 1-0 win away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player performed during the clash against Real Sociedad.
GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7/10
He made some solid saves at the back and secured a well-deserved clean sheet on the road.
RB: Dani Carvajal – 8/10
Carvajal cleared the danger when he could and managed to pick up an assist as well.
CB: Eder Militao – 7/10
He kept things solid on the defensive third of the pitch and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
CB: Nacho – 7/10
The Spaniard earned possession back twice and was a good presence on the ball.

LB: Fran Garcia – 7/10
Garcia was not shy of a tackle and performed his defensive duties well.
CM: Luka Modric – 6.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 7/10
Tchouameni anchored the midfield with conviction and was accurate with his passing.
CM: Dani Ceballos – 6/10
He struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced in the 67th minute.
RW: Brahim Diaz – 7/10
Diaz worked hard in both halves but there was no goal for him tonight.
ST: Joselu – 6.5/10
He won his fair share of aerial duels but never looked like he would score.
LW: Arda Guler – 7.5/10
Guler made two positive runs with the ball and managed to score the only goal of the game in the first half.
Substitutes:
LW: Vinicius Jr. – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
CM: Federico Valverde – 6/10
Valverde added some energy to Real Madrid’s midfield.
CB: Antonio Rudiger – 6/10
Rudiger was solid at the back.
