Ahead of the 2025/26 season, Arsenal are set to achieve an unprecedented milestone in English top-flight football history. The Gunners will participate in their 100th consecutive top-flight campaign in what is a historic moment for the club. They are gearing up to face Manchester United in their season opener and will be looking to start the season on a high. Following a host of new arrivals, facilitated by a summer spending spree, Arsenal appear in a fantastic position for the new campaign. The aim will be to finally win a major trophy, with the Premier League title a particularly fitting prize given the significance of the season ahead.
The 2025/26 campaign holds special significance because of the club’s uninterrupted presence in the top division. Arsenal have been a fixture in England’s top flight since 1919/20 and no other club comes close to matching that record. Their promotion in that campaign was not without controversy. Everton sit in second place with 72 consecutive top-flight appearances, a remarkable 28 fewer than the Gunners.
This century-long run has seen Arsenal amass 4,024 games and 1,899 wins. A victory against Manchester United in the opener would take them to 1,900 wins. The Gunners have scored 6,859 goals and conceded 4,907, with their points tally currently standing at 5,728. This equates to a win rate of 47 percent.

Over this period, several iconic figures have left an indelible mark on Arsenal’s history. Legendary defender David O’Leary holds the record for the most English top-flight appearances for the club with 558. Multiple title-winning captain Tony Adams ranks second. Thierry Henry leads the way in goals scored with 175 strikes to his name, while Arsène Wenger managed the most matches, taking charge of 828 between 1996 and 2018.
Heading into their 100th consecutive top-flight campaign, the Gunners will be determined to mark the unprecedented feat by winning the Premier League title. Having come agonisingly close in recent years, fans will be hoping they can finally get over the line.
Interesting facts, Gooners? This could be our year..
