It has now been reported that Callum Wilson is set to sign for West Ham United.

The striker saw his Newcastle United contract conclude on 30 June 2025.

Newcastle United were reportedly offering a short-term pay as you play deal but no agreement was reached on extending his stay.

Now 33 and a free agent, more than three weeks have past without any announcement on which club he will be joining up with.

However, a new exclusive (see below) reports that Callum Wilson is expected to be unveiled shortly as a West Ham United player.

‘It has been exclusively revealed to Hammers News that West Ham expect to sign bogeyman Callum Wilson on a free transfer following his release from Newcastle.

“The manager does not want a striker which some feel is wrong,” the West Ham spokesman told Hammers News.

“We expect to sign Callum Wilson, but that might not be enough in my opinion as he has had injury issues in the past too.”
