Arsenal are reportedly confident of closing a deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna within 48 hours.

Italy international Calafiori is on the verge of joining Premier League giants Arsenal.

Multiple reports claim that the 22-year-old has already agreed to personal terms with the Gunners, but talks between the English club and Bologna are still ongoing as the Rossoblu have not yet accepted an offer for the talented Italian defender.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Calafiori is only waiting for the green light from his club, as Arsenal are his favourite destination.

The Italian transfer expert says his entourage did not hold talks with Bayer Leverkusen, PSG or Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Chelsea.

As per Daniele Longo, the Gunners are confident of reaching an agreement with Bologna within the next 24-28 hours.

Longo reports that Arsenal will pay €50m plus add-ons to sign the versatile Italian defender and that Calafiori will earn €4m per season at the Emirates Stadium.
