Bukayo Saka was forced off during Arsenal’s last match against Chelsea through injury, subsequently withdrawing from international participation with England.
Updates on the player’s fitness have been few and far between since then, with Mikel Arteta only saying in the immediate aftermath of the game:
“It doesn’t look good because two players (Saka and Rice) of that importance tell you that they cannot continue in the game, so it obviously isn’t good news.”
Yet reports suggest there’s at least some chance Saka could be involved against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Sami Mokbel reports for the Daily Mail that Saka’s problem is a thigh issue, and he’s now in a race against time to prove his fitness before this weekend’s fixture.
The report doesn’t rule Saka out, which is encouraging, but it’s evidently not a certainty that the player will be involved.

Saka has scored four goals and assisted seven in 15 games for Arsenal this season, so his contributions have been vital.
But the 23-year-old has already missed two club games and three internationals through injury, and that tally could yet increase in the coming weeks.
