Buba Sangare discusses decision to join Roma: “When De Rossi called me I thought it was a prank.” | OneFootball

Roma’s newest signing, Buba Sangare, discussed his decision to join the capital club from Levante.

In an interview with COPE, 16-year-old Sangare reflected on the career-changing move and the chance of working with Daniele De Rossi.

“I thought I would experience the moment of signing my new contract more nervously. I was pretty calm, really,” said the ex-Levante fullback.

“It’s true, De Rossi called me. I knew who he was. At first I didn’t really believe that he was calling me, I thought it was a prank they were pulling on me.”

“De Rossi told me that Roma were interested in me,” said Sangare. “It’s crazy. I still can’t believe it.”

“I will do preseason with the first team,” he added. “Trigoria is immense. I can’t wait to meet Dybala.”
