Brighton travel to Everton on Sunday, aiming to spoil the party in the first-ever competitive match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Manager Fabian Hürzeler has made it clear his side are “not there to be the nice club” and are fully focused on securing their first victory of the season. To do so, they must find a way to break down what Hürzeler has called a “very organised” David Moyes team.
Fabian Hürzeler has received a positive fitness update ahead of the trip to Merseyside, confirming that midfielder Carlos Baleba and the versatile Jack Hinshelwood are both fully fit and available for selection.
However, the team will be without long-term absentees Adam Webster (knee) and Solly March (knee). New summer signing Tom Watson is also a major doubt for the match. Uncertainty continues to surround the future of Julio Enciso amid transfer speculation, although Hürzeler remains “very confident” that key playmaker Matt O’Riley will stay at the club.
Brighton predicted XI: Verbruggen; van Hecke, Dunk, De Cuyper; Wieffer, Baleba; Ayari, O’Riley, Minteh, Mitoma; Rutter.
The Premier League fixture takes place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, 24th August 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm BST.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Ultra HDR in the UK. Coverage begins at 1:30pm BST.
