In recent days, Real Madrid have intensified their pursuit of Bournemouth starlet Dean Huijsen, who has emerged as the ideal alternative to Arsenal’s William Saliba.

Although Huijsen won’t come cheap, with a release clause worth almost €60 million, Real Madrid were reportedly finding potential conditions that would perhaps help them ease the financial burden of the deal.

Bournemouth agree to Real Madrid’s proposal

In fact, Fabrizio Romano is now claiming that Bournemouth have finally agreed to Real Madrid’s proposal for Dean Huijsen deal.

It appears Los Blancos have convinced the Cherries for a deal that could see them pay Huijsen’s €60 million release clause in at least three installments.

Romano suggests that Real Madrid will pay up for the Huijsen deal fully by the end of 2026, meaning Bournemouth may only receive a fraction of the figure in the coming summer.

This kind of arrangement will greatly ease the financial burden on Real Madrid, who already have to sign multiple players in the summer transfer window.

With the agreement with Bournemouth done, the Huijsen pursuit is only awaiting the green light from the player himself.

This should not be a problem for Real Madrid as the Spaniard is a self-proclaimed Madridista and would jump at any opportunity to join the club.

Huijsen could be a major coup for Real Madrid considering how their three main centre-backs have struggled with injuries throughout the course of the campaign.

The young Spaniard is sure to bring some youthful exuberance in an otherwise experienced defensive unit. Along with Eder Militao and Raul Asencio, Huijsen may even form the backbone of the Real Madrid defence in the years to come.
