Borussia Dortmund will hope for home comforts to power them to three points on Saturday when they take on SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga.
Another potentially tricky test lies in store for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga this weekend. Although this is a game Nuri Sahin will fancy his side's chances in, especially at home. SC Freiburg could pose a tough threat to the Black and Yellows, having made an encouraging start to life under new head coach Julian Schuster.
One point separates the two sides going into Saturday's game, with Freiburg currently fifth in the Bundesliga standings. Borussia Dortmund will be determined to get the three points to ensure that they keep up pace with the rest of the teams vying for a spot in the top four.
The fit-again Waldemar Anton will replace the suspended Emre Can in the Borussia Dortmund starting XI on Saturday, while Gregor Kobel will start between the sticks as the team's injury situation starts to ease up.
Karim Adeyemi and Niklas Süle are not yet ready to return to action, while Gio Reyna and Julien Duranville are further along and look set to return to the matchday squad on Saturday.
Fresh off his first-ever goal for Germany, Felix Nmecha will be full of confidence and will hope to make a big impact in midfield. While Serhou Guirassy and Maximilian Beier will lead the charge in attack for BVB.
Freiburg haven't scored in their last two matches and will be determined to change that on Saturday. Vincenzo Grifo has caused a few problems to the Borussia Dortmund defence over the years, and will be crucial for Freiburg again on Saturday.
Ritsu Doan is another player BVB will have to be wary of. Freiburg will be sweating on the fitness of Noah Atubolu and Eren Dinkçi ahead of the game, while Merlin Röhl and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh are out injured.
