The newly formatted league phase of the UEFA Champions League is reaching its crucial stage. On matchday six, three head-to-head games will be played between the top eight teams. The champions of Germany will face their Serie A counterparts when Bayer Leverkusen host Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Arsenal vs. AS Monaco is on the menu for Wednesday, while La Liga’s table-toppers FC Barcelona travel to Borussia Dortmund.
The Black and Yellows will set their sights on ending a couple of streaks. Including a comprehensive 4-0 win in his Bundesliga debut, ex-Bayern coach Hansi Flick came out victorious in each of his five games against Borussia Dortmund. BVB are also winless in the four official matches against the Catalans.
However, they have been in excellent form at home this season and will hope to continue that run against Barcelona. Let’s recap the previous meetings between these two sides.
