Borussia Dortmund identify Wolves forward Fabio Silva as ideal Serhou Guirassy back-up | OneFootball

As reported by BILD, Borussia Dortmund are interested in Wolves forward Fabio Silva this summer.

The Portuguese youth international is expected to depart the Premier League club following spells in the Netherlands, Belgium, Scotland, and, most recently, Spain with Las Palmas.

The 22-year-old striker scored 10 goals and assisted on three occasions in 24 appearances last season, but it wasn’t enough for Las Palmas to avoid relegation from La Liga.

Silva’s performances have attracted interested from various Spanish clubs and now also Dortmund.

BVB were too reliant on top striker Serhou Guirassy last season, as the 29-year-old scored more goals than anyone else in the rückrunde (second half of the season).

Dortmund see Silva as a potential back-up striker and additional competition for Maximilian Beier (22), who scored 8 goals in the Bundesliga last term.

According to TransferMarkt, Silva currently holds a transfer fee of around €25m.

It never quite worked out for Silva at Wolves, who joined at just 18 for €40m. However, the Portuguese forward now looks set to play Champions League football next season with the type of interest he’s gathering.
