Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu have both been forced off with injury in today’s Serie A clash between Napoli and Inter Milan.
Italian outlet FCInterNews report that for Calhanoglu the problem is a thigh contusion, whilst Dimarco has suffered a thigh contracture.
Inter Milan are currently in action against Napoli.
The Nerazzurri already had a few notable injuries going into the match. All of Matteo Darmian, Carlos Augusto, and Nicola Zalewski are currently unavailable.
Therefore, Inter will hardly have wanted to lose any more players to injury.
The first injury blow for Inter came in the first half. Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu suffered a contusion to his right thigh during a hard challenge from Napoli’s Scott McTominay.
Calhanoglu did manage to play on despite that injury. He played the full first half, and then the first five or so minutes of the second.

However, the former AC Milan midfielder eventually had to come off. Piotr Zielinski replaced him.
And then at the same time, wingback Federico Dimarco also picked up an injury.
The Italian international went down holding his thigh early in the second half.
The problem for Dimarco, reports FCIN, looks to be a contracture to his right thigh.
The injury to Dimarco is particularly concerning because all of the other injuries in the team currently are in the wingback positions.
