Brian Priske will be fired even after Feyenoord ‘s 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich, according to Voetbal International. The club management has decided to part with the Danish coach due to the disappointing results in the Eredivisie that sees the Rotterdammers fourth and four points off Utrecht in third.
‘Priske goes out with a bang’, the headline reads. Even after Feyenoord’s 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League, nothing changes. “Brian Priske’s fate is sealed anyway. Long before the match against Bayern Munich, the club management decided to fire the coach. He just had to do the match. With a series of injuries, no one expected a result, but the Champions League apparently unleashes unsuspected powers at Feyenoord.”
Under Priske, Feyenoord often drew and are now already nine points behind Ajax, who are in second place and entitled to direct qualification in for the Champions League. “For Feyenoord, this sacred goal has already disappeared from sight at the end of January.”
“The game and the results in the competition are lagging behind expectations. The club is investigating the incredible series of injuries and in the staff, things are not going well between the players and Priske’s Swedish and Danish assistants, Björn Hamberg and Lukas Babalola.”
