A potential big development after a sourced story claims a club will match Chelsea’s asking price for their player this window.

It has always been believed that Chelsea would struggle to get what they are asking for this player which let’s be honest, is a lot of money. But that could now change and this one could now move.

EXCLUSIVE! Enzo Maresca asks Chelsea to sign a new centre back!!

It was reported earlier today that Newcastle’s recruitment team were warming to the idea of signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson this window, and therefore Jackson had become the main priority to replace Alexander Isak should he leave the club.

That report came after it was claimed that Jackson was now favouring a move to join Newcastle this window and I’d suspect that is because he sees plenty of game time there if Isak goes.

And now there is yet another story pointing towards this being a deal that could genuinely happen now and you’d imagine that Isak leaving is also a real possibility now.

Toon willing to match asking price

Newcastle United remain in the picture for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, TEAMtalk reports.

Their sources indicate that the Magpies are not deterred by Jackson’s price tag, while Chelsea are prepared to sanction his departure this summer.

The report claims that Chelsea ideally wanted to set Jackson’s price at £80million, but have a level of realism around the fee and are likely to settle closer to £60million. It is believed Newcastle would be willing to head to that figure.

I think this gets done now

I absolutely see this one going ahead now – there is so much noise supporting it happening now and Isak seems adamant that he is going so they will certainly need a replacement as soon as possible.
