West Ham could be set to retain Lucas Paqueta next season despite the earlier likelihood of a departure.

The Brazil play maker has been at the centre of a 2-year spot fixing FA investigation, which has taken a tremendous toll on the player and his family, which in turn has at times clearly affected his performances on the pitch.

Although not official as yet, Paqueta is set to be found not-guilty by the Football Association to draw thankfully a positive line under the ordeal.

Paqueta has been strongly linked with a departure, with Flamengo said to be leading the race for his signature. However, it now appears that West Ham will only entertain offers north of £60m for the player, which now rules out a number of clubs, including the Brazilian outfit.

Fans will no doubt be excited at the thought of a Paqueta who will now have the betting allegations finally off his shoulders and he can concentrate on hos football.
