Armando Broja is set to join Premier League new boys Burnley, and Chelsea could receive up to £20m for the striker according to reports.

Broja has agreed a long term contract with Burnley and will reportedly have his medical with the Clarets in the next 24 hours.

The 23-year-old had a disappointing loan spell at Everton last season, and failed to score in the 12 appearances he made for the club in all competitions.

Broja deal could be worth up to £20m

Chelsea had reportedly set their asking price for Broja at £25m, but given how little football the Albanian has played over the last couple of seasons, that seemed very ambitious.

However, Burnley have reportedly met Chelsea’s conditions, although a final fee has yet to be confirmed, but BBC Sport have reported it could be worth up to £20m.

The report adds the move isn’t expected to go through until early next week, but Broja’s time at Chelsea is now over.

Broja joined Chelsea’s academy in 2009, and has had loan spells at Southampton, Fulham and Everton, but he struggled to establish himself in the first team set-up at Stamford Bridge.

The Albania international made 38 appearances in total for Chelsea and scored three goals and registered two assists.

Chelsea making progress with sales

Broja is set to become the sixth player Chelsea have sold this summer, following Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Ishe Samuels-Smith.

Marc Guiu joined Sunderland on loan earlier this week, whilst Mamadou Sarr, Mike Penders and Kendry Paez will all spend the season at Strasbourg.

Chelsea are making good progress with sales, but there’s still a number of players they need to move on, including Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell.

Sterling and Chilwell could be difficult to move on given their wages, but the Blues are in line to save over £500,000 per week on wages if they can sell the pair.
