Barcelona may have already secured the La Liga title and added the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey to their cabinet, but their 2024–25 campaign is far from over.

With two league matches remaining, the club has a host of statistical and personal goals still in play, with the chief among them being Robert Lewandowski’s race for the Pichichi and the team’s push towards a century of goals.

Individually, Lewandowski has seen his once-comfortable lead in the top scorer standings evaporate. Despite tallying 25 goals, the Polish striker now finds himself three behind Kylian Mbappe, who has surged to 28.

Lewandowski has been stuck on 25 since Matchday 29, when he netted a brace against Girona. Since then, injuries and a quiet return have led to a seven-match goalless run, including a full 300 minutes without scoring.

In fact, he has only found the net once, against Borussia Dortmund, since March.

Lewandowski and Barcelona chasing a century

Beyond the Pichichi race, Lewandowski is also stuck on 99 goals for Barcelona, frustratingly short of his milestone 100th.

With time running out and form dipping, he will be desperate to end the season with a flourish, both to catch Mbappe and to secure his own legacy in Barcelona colours.

Collectively, Barça are chasing several notable feats. The attacking trio of Lewandowski (40 goals), Raphinha (34), and Lamine Yamal (17) are aiming to hit 100 goals combined, currently sitting on 91.

Doing so would require a big finish, particularly with tricky opponents like Villarreal and Athletic Club ahead.

Then there’s the team’s goal tally. With 97 goals scored in 36 La Liga matches, Hansi Flick’s men are targeting Barcelona’s ninth-ever 100-goal season in La Liga history.

Their most prolific campaigns include the unforgettable 2011–12 season under Pep Guardiola (190 goals) and the 2014–15 treble-winning run (175 goals). This season, Barça’s total stands at 169 goals in all competitions, already the fifth-best haul in their illustrious history.

Two more wins would also extend the team’s impressive unbeaten run into 2025, as they currently boast 15 victories and two draws in their last 17 league outings.
