Barcelona vice-president Elena Fort has officially put forward the Spotify Camp Nou as the ideal stadium to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup final.
Speaking to Cadena Ser’s ‘Larguero’ (h/t SPORT), Fort said, “Everyone has the right to play their cards, but the Camp Nou is worthy of hosting the final of a World Cup.”
She also pointed out the impressive number of VIP seats the stadium will offer: “We have multiplied the VIP places by five, therefore, we are prepared for everything.”
The new design includes two VIP rings above the second tier, bringing the total number of VIP seats to 9,400, a significant boost that strengthens Barça’s bid.
This statement comes just days after the excitement of announcing Barça’s return to their iconic stadium, even though renovations are still ongoing.
The new Spotify Camp Nou is expected to become one of the most modern and impressive stadiums in the world once construction is complete.

With the 2030 World Cup getting closer, Barça believe their stadium is the best choice to host the most important match of the tournament.
The stadium’s return has already thrilled fans, and the possibility of welcoming a World Cup final has created even more excitement in the city.
When comparing stadiums, the revamped Camp Nou stands out. FIFA’s assessment rated both Barcelona and Madrid equally in transportation and accommodation, each scoring the highest mark of 5.
But Barcelona pulled ahead thanks to more available spaces to set up ‘fan zones’, a key factor in hosting a successful final.
Capacity is another big advantage for the Spotify Camp Nou. Once finished, it will hold over 104,000 fans, which is much higher than Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu, expected to reach only 84,000 seats.
Only Casablanca’s Gran Estadio Hassan II, with a planned capacity of 115,000, will be bigger.
