Barcelona are coming on the back of a near-perfect season that saw them dominate La Liga and secure the domestic treble.
A key aspect of Barcelona’s dominance was that the team was simply better than their rivals, Real Madrid, notably beating them four times across all competitions.
But even though Barcelona have dominated Real Madrid on the pitch, it appears Los Blancos have cracked the economic code.
As reported by Diario AS, Real Madrid have become the first Spanish football club to break the €6 billion valuation barrier, now sitting at an estimated worth of €6.17 billion.
This is according to the LaLiga Stock Market 2025 report, which places Real Madrid not just as Spain’s financial powerhouse but as one of the most valuable sports institutions globally.
Barcelona, despite their on-field success, trail their arch-rivals with a valuation of €5.56 billion. This figure has remained static, largely impacted by the club’s ongoing exile from Camp Nou, which is currently under renovation.

The second consecutive season away from their iconic home stadium has clearly dented revenue potential, particularly from matchday income and commercial activities linked to the venue.
Barcelona are hoping to return to Camp Nou in the first few months of next season, which could help the club bring back some of the lost revenue sources.
Nevertheless, Barcelona and Real Madrid together represent 64% of the total value of all LaLiga clubs, which serves as a stark reminder of how far ahead the two traditional giants remain compared to the rest of the league.
With the new season just around the corner, Barcelona will now hope that the additional revenue from Camp Nou could help them become the second club to reach the €6 billion valuation by the end of the campaign.
