Barcelona to partner with Ed Sheeran for next Real Madrid clash | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona are expected to partner up with musician Ed Sheeran for the upcoming edition of El Clásico.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.

In each of their last five meetings with arch rivals Real Madrid, Barcelona have of course taken to the pitch with a different musical artist as their sponsor.

This comes as part of the club’s agreement with Spotify.

To date, logos representing all of Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, Karol G and Coldplay have featured front and centre on the Blaugrana’s Clásico jerseys.

And, as alluded to above, this week, the early favourite to add his name to this list has been revealed.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The artist whose name or logo is likely to wear the Barça team printed on the chest of its shirt is Ed Sheeran, as the new fruit of the agreement between the Catalan club and Spotify.’

The next edition of El Clásico has been pencilled in for Sunday, May 11th.
