Barcelona target shows appreciation for Lamine Yamal’s magic vs Atletico Madrid | OneFootball

Lamine Yamal was one of the protagonists of Barcelona’s 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid last night.

After two relatively subpar performances as per the high standards he has set for himself, the young winger was back to his very best under pressure and shone brightly on the Catalans’ left flank.

Of the numerous chances he created, the biggest impact he delivered was the assist he racked up for Barcelona’s fourth goal that Robert Lewandowski scored.

Admiration for Italy

In awe of Yamal’s magical performance against Atletico Madrid, top Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted specifically on X his impression of Yamal’s talent.

“Lamine Yamal,” he tweeted simply with an emoji of a magical wand to signify the teenager’s brilliance.

AC Milan star Rafael Leao reacted to Romano’s tweet by retweeting the same post and thus showed that he concurs with respect for Yamal.

After all, the teenage sensation racked up two key passes, 77 touches, and a staggering seven successful dribbles against the Colchoneros. Further, he also won 11 ground duels and had one shot blocked on the night.

In fact, this is not the first time that Leao has expressed his admiration for Yamal’s magic as he once liked a post of the young winger which was a photo of him with Alejandro Balde celebrating a goal.

Notably, the Serie A winger has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent months, and his good run of form has the club seriously interested.

It remains to be seen if anything comes of interest and whether Leao and Yamal do indeed play together at the club level. A lot will depend on Milan’s asking price for the Portuguese winger.
