Barcelona star’s departure gets the long-awaited ‘here we go’ | OneFootball

Confirmation of the imminent departure of Barcelona star Ansu Fati has this week at last come to the fore online.

The 22-year-old is all set to take his talents to France, with AS Monaco.

The name of wide-man Ansu has of course been a prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for some time now.

This comes after widespread confirmation that, fresh off another underwhelming campaign for the Spaniard on Barca’s books, the Camp Nou brass were ready to sanction a summer exit.

The aforementioned Monaco, in turn, had long opened talks with the Blaugrana, over the terms of a loan deal for next season.

And as alluded to above, this week, after a fresh round of negotiations between the parties, an agreement has at last been struck.

As per a report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Ansu Fati to AS Monaco, here we go! Deal in place for Barcelona winger to join the club on loan with buy option. Plan for medical this week confirmed: Ansu will travel tomorrow and undergo medical later this week.’

Prior to sealing his exit, Ansu will put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension in Catalunya.
