Andreas Christensen trained as normal with the rest of the Barcelona squad in their final session before travelling to Las Palmas for Saturday’s La Liga Matchday 25 fixture.
However, Hansi Flick has left him out of the squad list, meaning his comeback will have to wait a little longer.
As per SPORT, even though Christensen has trained with the squad this week, the Barcelona centre-back has not been medically cleared to return as of yet, with the wait for the same continuing.
As he did on Thursday, Christensen completed the entire session with his teammates today as well. However, he was never expected to be included in the travelling squad for the game against Las Palmas.

His return to match action could now take place in one of Barcelona’s upcoming fixtures—either the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, 25 February or the La Liga clash against Real Sociedad on Saturday, 1 March.
Christensen has only played once this season, making a brief 26-minute appearance in Barcelona’s La Liga opener against Valencia at Mestalla.
Shortly after, he was sidelined by Achilles tendinopathy in his left leg, which kept him out for five months. The issue required a minor surgical procedure to alleviate the pain.
Once he received medical clearance in mid-January, he was included in three matchday squads, against Getafe, Benfica, and Valencia.
However, another setback soon followed, as he suffered a right soleus muscle injury during training in late January.
Now, almost one month later, Christensen appears to be nearing the end of his long road to recovery. His return could finally take place next week.
