Barcelona star reveals Hansi Flick’s half-time message during comeback win over Levante | OneFootball

Barcelona star Ferran Torres has provided an insight into the details of the message passed to he and his teammates by manager Hansi Flick at half-time on Saturday.

This, of course, comes after the Blaugrana found themselves in a surprise two-goal hole.

Barcelona made the trip to Valencia yesterday evening, for a La Liga meeting with newly-promoted Levante.

Fresh off a dominant opening day victory over Mallorca, the reigning Spanish champions were widely expected to make short work of their hosts.

With 45 minutes on the clock, however, Barca were trailing by two goals to nil, and looking under serious threat of a first defeat of the campaign.

As proved the case on so many occasions in 2024/25, though, Hansi Flick’s troops ultimately managed to turn things around.

After Pedri pulled one back minutes into the 2nd-half, Ferran Torres’ equaliser was followed by a decisive own goal on the part of Unai Elgezabal.

And as alluded to above, speaking to the media post-match, goalscorer Ferran opened up on the simple but effective message sent to the Blaugrana’s squad during the half-time break:

“At half-time, Flick told us we have to secure the three points no matter what.

“He gave us a couple of tactical nuances because we weren’t completely well positioned and, most importantly, we had to show character, that winning gene. We came out well and were effective.”
