A leading member of the midfield ranks at Barcelona has on Wednesday seen his recent efforts on the pitch appropriately recognised.

This comes amid confirmation that Pedri has been nominated for the La Liga Player of the Month award.

Pedri is for his part of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular individual campaign to date.

One of the first names on the team sheet of boss Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old has rediscovered his very best form in Barca’s colours, running proceedings in the middle of the park courtesy of a unique mix of dribbling, passing, creative brilliance, and relentless work rate.

Such excellence has continued throughout the month of April, with Pedri having shone in a pair of La Liga fixtures against Real Betis and Leganés.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, the Spanish international’s endeavours have been recognised.

As per a statement across La Liga’s social media platforms, Pedri has joined all of Giorgi Mamardashvili, Javi Puado, Sergi Darder and Julián Alvarez in securing a nomination for Player of the Month in Spain’s top-flight.
