Barcelona star agrees move to La Liga rivals | OneFootball

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is all set for a move to newly-promoted Elche.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Iñaki Peña as the player in question.

Shot-stopper Peña has of course long been linked with a departure from Catalunya’s capital.

After the Spaniard fell ever further down the pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad following the arrival of Joan García this summer, Deco and co. swiftly kicked into gear a search for a new home for Peña.

A number of clubs from across Spain and beyond, in turn, expressed a keen interest in the signature of the 26-year-old.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, one such outfit have beaten out the competition to strike a deal for the goalkeeper.

As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto:

‘Iñaki Peña, heading to Elche.’

The deal, the details of which are yet to be announced, is expected to come in the form of a one-year loan.
