Real Madrid’s recent 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano has caused much controversy, especially because of the referee Martinez Munuera.
Real Madrid are furious with Munuera for discounting multiple instances where he could have easily given the Whites a penalty, including an incident involving Vinicius Junior.
The ongoing controversy has not skipped the eyes of Barcelona, who have raised their own concern regarding how Munuera acted in the game.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have argued that Munuera showed double standards when interacting with Vinicius.
After the referee and the VAR failed to award Real Madrid a penalty against Rayo, Vinicius stormed to the referee, using all kinds of profanities including “f*** you”.

Despite that, Munuera only awarded Vinicius a yellow card and did not invoke a straight red for his questionable behaviours.
Barcelona believe these are blatant double standards as not too long ago, the club’s head coach Hansi Flick was sent off for not even protesting against a decision.
In the game against Real Betis, Flick was shown a direct red merely for reacting to an incident. He was subsequently handed a two-match ban from La Liga.
Barcelona consider this disparity between the treatment of Flick and Vinicius to be harmful to the table.
The club are having a hard time believing that Flick will remain on the sidelines at Montjuic until the end of January, while Vinicius will continue playing for Real Madrid despite his recent transgressions.
