According to journalist Helena Condis via COPE, Fermin is not officially up for sale, yet the club sees him as one of the few players who could bring in a significant transfer fee if needed.

The 22-year-old La Masia graduate is a versatile talent, capable of playing in central midfield, further up the pitch, or even out wide.

His adaptability makes him a useful asset in any team, and that is part of the reason why he is highly valued at the club.

But Barcelona, under financial pressure, are well aware of the need to make at least one major sale to afford a top-level signing this summer.

Fermin, who has a contract at Barça until 2029, has publicly made it clear that he has no intention of leaving. Speaking in a recent interview, he said:

“I’m not thinking about leaving or anything like that. I’m very happy at Barça. It was my dream, and I obviously want to stay.”

Despite this, the reality is different behind the scenes. While Barcelona have not actively placed him on the market, there is an understanding at the club that a big-money offer could change the situation.

Recently, Bayern Munich made a lucrative proposal for Fermin, but the player rejected it, showing his desire to stay and fight for his place.

That said, Barcelona’s midfield is already stacked with options. With competition for places strong and the club needing funds, Fermin could become a solution to their financial challenges.

The Blaugrana are not pushing him out, but they are keeping the door open. If a suitable offer lands on the table, one that helps the club’s transfer plans, they will be ready to enter negotiations.
