Barcelona offered chance to sign Juventus star as Nico Williams alternative | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have been offered up the chance to sign a headline member of the attacking ranks at Italian outfit Juventus.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Federico Chiesa as the player in question.

Wide-man Chiesa, for his part, is on his way out of Turin this summer.

Deemed surplus to requirements by new Juventus head coach Thiago Motta, the 26-year-old has been placed on the market by the brass at the Allianz Stadium.

And as much, it is understood, has this week presented itself as an opportunity for the aforementioned Barcelona.

It is of course common knowledge that the board at the Camp Nou are on the lookout for reinforcements out wide, with a view to the season ahead.

Left frustrated in their attempts to land first-choice target Nico Williams, the Blaugrana, in turn, have been ‘offered’ the chance to bring in Chiesa this week.

Deco and co. are yet to come to a final decision regarding the opportunity, having not yet completely given up hope of landing Nico.

But Chiesa’s profile is one which is appreciated behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital, meaning his signing ‘could be an option’ before the transfer window slams shut.
