Even amid the high profile renewal of several young players and the impending contract extension of star player Lamine Yamal, Barcelona have remained keen on bolstering their ranks in the youth department.
With the club’s sporting department acknowledging that even their prolific youth system cannot meet all first-team needs, Barcelona’s scouts are scouring the market for young prospects to sign at reasonable prices and develop using La Masia’s methodology.
A recent report from Diario SPORT suggests the club have taken interest in two teenage prospects, in particular.
The two players in question are Mikkel Bro Hansen and Abdellah Ouazane – two young players who have made quite impression in the early stages of their career.
Bro Hansen, a 16-year-old Danish striker, has already broken into Bodo/Glimt’s first team in Norway.

Known for his classic center-forward instincts, he caught Barcelona’s eye during an U16 international match against England, despite Denmark’s 7-3 loss.
Meanwhile, Abdellah Ouazane, a 16-year-old midfielder from Ajax’s prestigious academy, offers versatility as a pivot or box-to-box player.
Scouts noted his goal-scoring prowess, marking him as a rising star in Danish football. However, Bodo/Glimt plans to nurture him further before entertaining offers, with Bundesliga clubs also circling.
Holding Moroccan and Dutch citizenship, Ouazane has impressed with both national teams and drawn attention from clubs like PSG.
Barcelona’s technical staff are closely tracking his development, aiming to address gaps in their youth setup.
With the summer transfer window just around the corner, it will be interesting to see how much of an effort Barcelona make in order to get their hands on these two teenage sensations.
