Barcelona avoided a frustrating night away from home after a 2-1 comeback win against Real Valladolid at Estadio José Zorrilla.
Scorers: Sánchez 6'; Raphinha 54', López 61'
With their pending Champions League semi-final second-leg clash against Inter on the horizon, Hansi Flick's heavily rotated team got off to a poor start on the night when veteran Valladolid midfielder Iván Sánchez opened the scoring in the 6th minute.
To make matters worse across the opening 45 minutes of action, club starlet Dani Rodríguez limped off injured during his first-team debut, with Lamine Yamal coming on to replace him at the 38-minute mark.
Flick would make two changes just before the restart in hopes of pushing Barcelona forward, with Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong coming on in place of Ansu Fati and Pedri.
The introduction of the Brazilian winger would prove critical and give Barcelona new life on the night when Raphinha bagged the equaliser in the 54th minute with a cool finish beyond André Ferreira to become the only La Liga player to register 15+ goals and 5+ assists this season.
Fermín López would then complete the Barça turnaround in the 61st minute thanks to a smooth first-time effort from inside the box.
Marc-André ter Stegen would come up with a huge save in the 74th minute to deny Valladolid the chance to pull back level as the home side looked to remain a thorn in Barça's side despite creating little throughout.
Both goals would be enough to see Flick and company guarantee all three points while extending their lead at the top to a temporary seven points ahead of Real Madrid's clash with Celta de Vigo tomorrow.
