Paris Saint-Germain have quality midfield talent, but one area where they’re lacking is height. Fabian Ruiz, at 6′ 2″ (1.89m), is the tallest player, and after him, there aren’t many options near his stature.
Senny Mayulu stands at 6′ 0″ (1.83m), but the 18-year-old is one of the few players with a similar height. As a result, PSG could be looking to add another player in the midfield this summer, ideally someone who fits manager Luis Enrique’s style and brings some added physical presence.
Additionally, could PSG be considering bringing in a veteran to complement the young talent they’ve accumulated in recent transfer windows?
Arsenal insider Charles Watts reported this week that the Gunners have yet to begin contract talks with Thomas Partey, whose deal expires this summer. He’s reportedly attracting interest from Barcelona, Juventus, and PSG.

Despite the links to Barcelona, the Catalan club is unlikely to make a formal offer for Partey, according to Spanish outlet Sport. Barcelona already have a solid midfield and must manage their finances carefully, especially when it comes to free agents with high signing-on fees and wages.
While this news may be disappointing for Partey, he’s expected to have no shortage of offers as he approaches free agency.
At 6′ 1″ (1.85 m), the 31-year-old would bring added height and a veteran presence to the midfield. If PSG can work out a deal that benefits all parties in terms of contract length and wages, it could turn out to be a smart signing.
Additionally, Enrique would be very familiar with Partey, as the midfielder played for Atletico Madrid from 2013 to 2020 while Enrique was managing at FC Barcelona.
