Earlier in the day, Barcelona finally released a statement that confirmed Robert Lewandowski’s injury.
The Pole has been ruled out for at least three weeks and is, therefore, out of contention for the upcoming Copa Del Rey final against Real Madrid.
Lewandowski is also set to miss the first leg tie against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League semifinal.
While the official statement says his return will depend on progress, a recent report from Diario AS has offered a more in-depth update on Lewandowski’s fitness.
Initial assessments suggest Lewandowski might be targeting the second leg against Inter Milan or even the La Liga Clásico against Real Madrid on May 11, as a possible return date.
However, Barcelona are not taking any chances, and a definitive comeback timeline remains uncertain.

This injury comes at a pivotal point in the season, with three major games — the Copa del Rey final, the Champions League semi-finals, and the Clasico — all scheduled within a short span.
With Lewandowski out, the onus will be on Ferran Torres to provide the goods in the number nine role.
The Spanish international has been in terrific form since the turn of the year, notably emerging as Barcelona’s third-highest goalscorer this season.
If Ferran fumbles under pressure, coach Hansi Flick also has the option of deploying Dani Olmo in the number nine role, though Barça must be wary of the Spaniard’s injury history this season.
