FC Barcelona incorporated only two new players into the squad during the last summer transfer window. Both of these players, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, strengthened the team’s forward line and the former has already established himself as an important forward for Hansi Flick.

However, Barcelona were able to register these players only because of injuries suffered by the likes of Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen, and the Catalans will have to once again deal with the matter of their registration with La Liga in January.

There are some sections of the club worried about this situation, but SPORT reports that Barcelona remain very calm in this regard, as they believe there will be no problems in the registration of these two players, and they can continue to participate in all the competitions without any problems. President Joan Laporta has already given public assurances that this will be the case.

The Blaugranes can get these two players registered without any sales, but the club is not ruling out a departure for one player who might be looking for more minutes. Still, the club will have to generate some income to be able to register these two players, and there are two potential sources for this required income, renewal with Nike and new investors for Bridgeburg.

Barcelona have already been in negotiations with Nike for some months now, and the club hopes to reach an agreement with the American company before the end of this year. The Board of Directors has already incorporated the improvement of the contract in their budget for the 2024-25 season, which means an agreement can be reached soon.

For Bridgeburg, Barcelona have decided to put up 40% of its shares, worth €200 million, on sale. €55 million of this amount has already been earned by the Blaugrana club, and for the rest of the €145 million, the Catalans are still looking for new investors. Two potential investors have already shown some interest in this operation.
