The Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung reports that want-away Wolfsburg left winger/fullback Jakub Kaminski may end up landing with FC Augsburg. Kaminski has recently been linked with a loan to FC Köln, but the WAZ claims that there have been no talks between the Autostädter and the cathedral city club. It does still appear as if Kaminski will depart Wolfsburg this summer whether or not he opts to stay in the Bundesliga.
The 22-times-capped Polish international maintains an estimated market value of €5m. Currently running a negative summer transfer balance of -€3.5m, Kaminski may remain out of Augsburg’s reach. The Fuggerstädter are nevertheless on the path to getting into the black.
Central defensive flop Patric Pfeiffer was recently sold back to his old club SV Darmstadt 98 for a reported €700,000. A much more lucrative deal to pocket €4-5m for striker Dion Drena Beljo appears to be in the works.
At this juncture, the WAZ merely notes that Augsburg have enquired about Kaminski. Whether or not a loan with reasonable fees or an outright purchase shall be negotiated is unclear at this time.
