Atlético Madrid star on the verge of €6 million move to Mexico | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid is closing on an imminent departure from the club.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, citing Matteo Moretto, who points towards Ángel Correa as the player in question.

Frontman Correa has long been linked with a move away from Spain’s capital, amid efforts on the part of the Atlético brass to rejuvenate the club’s frontline.

This past January, the Argentine appeared close to a move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad, only for the transfer to collapse at the last.

As alluded to above, though, this coming summer, Correa’s Metropolitano exit finally looks set to come to fruition.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Mexican side Tigres are closing in on deal to sign Ángel Correa from Atléti on €6m transfer fee, per Matteo Moretto. Verbal agreement at the final stages with formal steps still needed to get it sealed.’
