Over the last few days, the rumors of Paris Saint-Germain securing Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman have surfaced. However, could these same rumors be disappearing as fast as they emerged?

Lookman has been a hot topic in the transfer rumors this summer, with top clubs showing interest. A recent report revealed that Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United have all been linked to the Nigerian forward.

Nonetheless, it’s PSG who have come out leading this race as journalist Rudy Galetti confirmed this week that Lookman and PSG have reached an agreement in principle on personal terms. Moreover, his information notes that all that’s left is for the clubs to find common ground on a deal.

The latest information on the Lookman file comes from journalist Matteo Moretto, who reports that the 26-year-old’s arrival to the French capital is getting colder.

Moretto adds that the French club haven’t made any formal offer in writing to Atalanta. Recent verbal discussions have shown that there’s still a significant gap between what each side is looking for.

Lookman has been with Atalanta since 2022, making 45 appearances last season. He had an impressive campaign, netting 17 goals and providing 10 assists. His standout moment came in the UEFA Europa League final, where he scored a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen.
