Atalanta interested in Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa | OneFootball

Serie A leaders Atalanta are set to bid for Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa.

According to a report by L’Eco di Bergamo via Tutto Atalanta, Atalanta are expected to send a loan offer to Liverpool this winter transfer window to bring Chiesa till the end of the season.

The proposed deal could contain the right-to-redeem option as The Reds have struggled to accommodate the Italian international into their system after signing him from Juventus in the summer.

Chiesa established his place in the Serie A as one of the league’s greatest forwards but his stay at Liverpool has not gone according to plan. In fact, he has just played 18 minutes till now in the Premier League and the possibility of returning to Italy with the prospect of playing regularly will attract him to push the Merseyside club for a transfer.

Atalanta will need to press for negotiations and those might bring Chiesa’s salary to €3 million net per season. Nothing concrete has been established right now as La Dea are set to have undertaken a survey of the situation but the interest is strong and an offer can arrive in January.
